Welcome

You may or may not have noticed a lack of a publication this week.

Well that is because the new arrival to the family has arrived in our 2nd daughter that was born on the 18th March.

Having had a little whirlwind of a few days, I decided do something different and switch off from everything. With my first daughter I went straight back to running whilst also trying to be present. That was not a sensible approach I ended up with significant burnout. This time I am doing thing differently.

For me that means pausing on all publications for this newsletter for at least one month (but there may well be some drops of wisdom throughout). I want to take this time to be present with the family and ensure that the family really feel my presence.

This means working at a natural pace and integrating more things into the things that I have been doing.

In today’s world we asked to move and deliver things fast but why don’t do do something slightly different and slow down.

So this week what are you going to stop and slow down?

Maybe spend some time journaling things that you over focus on that you need not focus on.

Book of the week

The 5 Types of Wealth by Sahil Bloom

I have recently purchased and pretty much completed this book and one of the things I have learnt is that I may well be running the wrong race. If you feel that you are focussed on materials and money then I would highly recommend reading this book.

This one book is one that I have started talking about more and will be buying a couple to hand to people that I think will benefit from. For me it almost feels like the 7 habits of highly effective people for the modern age.
